Emily Sloane was recently hired as the Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Gloucester, as announced in early October 2025. Born and raised in the area, Sloane has worked in humanitarian economic recovery and development throughout the world for the past 15 years. She looks forward to taking her economic development, facilitation, grant writing, and project management skills to the local level. Among her responsibilities, she will be working on harbor economic development and activating the downtown business district.
